After 5+ years of saying we are going to attend the Veterans Memorial Bridge & Subway Tour, Damon and I finally did this morning! The Cuyahoga County Engineers only open the bridge twice yearly – Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day Weekend. After a short visit to the Westside Market we made our way down below the Detroit-Superior Bridge to tour the double decker bridge (top for cars, bottom for streetcars).
Damon and I especially enjoyed the view of the city from below, taking 100+ photos and the history behind the bridge, Alta on the other hand enjoyed running up and down the 3,112 long structure!
